OFH is volunteer run by a small group of concerned citizens in Old Fort. We very much need to expand our network of volunteers, in particular those who could help with resource/information gathering and updating, creating and/or maintaining informational articles for the site, and acquisition and organization of contacts from relief orgs, local government, supply centers, volunteers, etc).
Examples of help needed include:
- Volunteers who can do wellness checks and deliver supplies to the elderly & those in need.
- Regularly combing Old Fort & McDowell FB Groups, NextDoor, and other social media sources to search for people in need of help and people offering assistance and linking them to our site.
- Contacting volunteers and connecting them with assistance organizations or smaller local projects.
- Connecting ticket requests with resources.
- Weekly check-ins with resource hubs to ensure accurate/updated information for site visitors.

Join us at Old Fort Help as we do all we can to support our friends and neighbors in Old Fort! Meetings occur on the second Sunday of every month at 5:30pm at The Watershed, 655 Catawba River Road, Old Fort.
