Old Fort Help
We are still getting off the ground, and are currently a small group of volunteers. Most of the members of this group currently are small business owners, and are also very busy getting their businesses back running. Our biggest effort right now is expanding our network of volunteers, in particular those who could help with resource and information gathering, updating, creating and maintaining informational articles for the site, and acquisition and organization of contacts from relief orgs, local government, supply centers, volunteers, etc. To get more information on volunteering for Old Fort Help, please click below.
Current Requests on Old Fort Help: please request to help here.
- Driveway grading
- We have serval requests for grading. While we can raise funds for dirt backfill, funding gravel is not yet in our scope of work. We are working to fix this deficiency. Most of our requests have been denied by FEMA and cannot pay much if anything. If you have resources that could help with this or your grading service is willing to help please reach out.
- Tree Service and removal:
- We have a few jobs that need assessments from an arborist. Once the assessments are done we can try to get funds together to pay to get the job done.
- We have one tree that was made safe but could be finished being cut into smaller pieces and removed.
- Retaining wall
- Heavy equipment needed to clear creek bed
- Hauling away a deep freezer.
- Installing foundation vent covers to cinder block
